The time difference traveling from Japan to the US has a much harder effect on me than say, US to Japan. It just kills me.
I had an awesome time the last few days in Napa! Ate some good food, got some good pampering and did some shopping as well...all in all, a nice holiday.

Frog's Leap Winery
Loved this place, a must do!”
This is a "hidden gem" that is worth the trip. It's location off the beaten path makes it more special and the view is tremendous. The staff genuinely likes their job and it reflects in their quality of service! The wines were great, pours were generous, tour was interesting, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. All these characteristics and the cost (which is $0) makes this our favorite all-around winery in the valley.
サンフランシスコから約1時間、レンタカーでナパヘ直行し、今日の最初の訪問はFrog's Leap．

庭には花が咲き、イチゴや葉をみただけでは何か分からない野菜なども植えられていました。
テイスティングルームは結構立派な建物です。
テイスティングは、ソーヴィニオンブラン、ジンファンデル（プティシラーとのブレンド）、メルロー、カベルネの４種で$15。もちろん無料ですが。ソーヴィニオンブランはクリスプでグレープフルーツやレモンなどを思わせるもの。ジンファンデル以降の赤ワインは疲れていることもあってちょっと味わいが強い印象ながら、やはりメルローが一番美味しいかなと思われました。
ワイナリのスタッフに映画撮影について尋ねたところ、あちこちの場所を使って撮影されたとのこと。そう言えばこんな席も写真で見たような。ベリンジャーやフロッグス・リープ、モンダヴィと、登場するのはメジャーなブランドだから、映画見た後にはきっと入手したくなりますね。

果汁などの移動をポンプを使わず自然の重力で行うグラヴィティ・フローや、発酵・熟成時のセメントタンクの使用など、昔ながらのやり方を尊重したプレミアムワインを造り出しています。
敷地内には「プレス」で使用する有機野菜の畑もあります。

In the heart of Napa Valley and California viticulture is Silver Oak Cellars, considered to be among the producers of the finest cabernet sauvignon in the world. The winery and vineyards are nestled between Route 29 and the Silverado Trail on Oakville Cross Road.
カリフォルニアでも最も成功したカベルネメーカーの一つです。
ソノマ・ヴァレーを代表する上質かつ大変に個性的なワイナリー。人気がありながら入手困難なワインです。
赤/重口。

Founded in 1900, and one of the longest continually producing wineries in the region.
BVの略称で知られるナパでも古参のワイナリの一つです。
Robert MondaviやBeringerと比べると地味な印象があるが，ここの10ドル台の「Napa/Carneros」ラインはコスト・パフォーマンスが高いです。
Flora Springs
First of all, I'm not a big fans of the red wine but I have to admit they have very good cabernet. I like the ir tasting room because it less crowded compare with other commercial wineries in Napa. The service is really good and they let us to try a lot of wine that wasn't listed on the premium tasting list.
My favorites are Poggio del Papa and Wild Boar Cabernet Sauvignon. The cuvee chardonnay is pretty good too.
ワイナリー30周年にあわせ、同所にあったクラシック・テイストのテイスティングルームを一新したそうです。
その個性に脱帽。
It was really more of a wine drinking than a wine tasting.
テイスティングの際に、様々な風味のポップコーンを用意。おもしろい。
ST. HELENA OLIVE OIL CO.
このバルサミコ酢は最高です。
Clos Du Val
Clos Du Val Winery is a winery in the Stags Leap District of California's Napa Valley.
「Clos Du Val」のワインは、どれも非常に丁寧につくられた印象で、フランス・ワインとナパ・ワインの良さを兼ね備えています。
カリフォルニアでも輝けるトップ・ワイナリーの１つとして広く愛されています。
Darioush
Darioush, a winery noted for its Bordeaux style estate wines, implements old world labor-intensive, micro-vineyard management and new world state of the art technology to craft fine wines from its estates located in the appellations of Napa Valley, Mt. Veeder and Oak Knoll. Under the direction of Darioush Khaledi and winemaker Steve Devitt, precision and quality are of the utmost importance at the winery.
ペルセポリス宮殿と同じ石を柱や外壁に使用しているそうです。印象的な外観。

The thing about Ubuntu is that I do not consider it a veggie restaurant. I guess this is down to the quality of the chef; the food is good enough to be appreciated for what it is, one does not feel they are missing out on anything.
今注目のレストラン。ナパのダウンタウンにある店。2階にはヨガ・スタジオも併設。

今注目のレストラン。ナパのダウンタウンにある店。2階にはヨガ・スタジオも併設。ランチが終わってしまっていて、行けなかったもですが、オープン以来、全米にその名を轟かせた『ウブントゥ』。メニューに魚・肉はありません。
環境を考慮した栽培で作る良い食材をテーブルへ。
次回は絶対に行きたいお店ですね。
