My good friend Saori will be starring on stage in Tokyo on Jan 9th. If you're in town, it's a must see. It's an amazing piece by Shutato Oku. It looks like he is once again taking a progressive step forward.
Most of the art is really hard to understand. It’s very tactile and experiential. You really need to go there and experience it first hand in order to appreciate it.

一度見ただけでは、奥秀太郎が持つ世界観を深い所まで味わいきれた気がしませんでした。でも次も作品を見てみたいという興味も湧きました。
Also, don't forget that Saori has an awesome blog.

When you’ve filled up on burgers and criss-cross fries at McDonald's, I highly suggest Oatman DINER.

If you ever find yourself with a day completely free, I recommend taking a quick train trip to Hakone. It's only 2 hrs away from Tokyo but worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
SAKANA CUISINE RYO。良いお店、食べ応えがあります。
It's tucked into the side of the mountain and very secluded.
This is a small family trip.
The weather? Not so much. You literally have to carry a jacket everywhere you go!
The views...Hakone is dope. Really spectacular and stunning views everywhere you look.
This area is famous for its "onsen" (or hot springs). If you have tome to visit them, try this onsen where you dip your body into natural hot spring water.
But as in life, rewards are a plenty. Here is an old school “onsen” or public hot spring bathhouse. This particular one was co-ed which was new to me! (I swear its cold outside!)

Hanging out. Mastering our Jenga techniques.
ハングアウトしながらジェンガの特訓中。
After hours was HOT as we partied it up in the VIP Room sipping Cristal and smoking cigars with famous actors and rock stars.
…Or was it actually a combination of cards, Jenga, and passing in and out of consciousness?
これ結構すごい。

My room with a view. Awesome. Pretty damn high up!
大湧谷へ。10年ぶり２度目です。

In the middle of nowhere…
晴れていたら冠雪した秀麗な富士山が見えたのに。富士山に縁が無い男。。
On the way home, we went that soba place. Here’s just two of my recommendations.
11:00pm: Passed out in a coma.
