If you ever find yourself in Japan with a half day completely free, I recommend taking a quick train trip to Kamakura. It's only 1 hrs away from Tokyo but worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you leave Shinjuku station by 10am, you can go to Kamakura and be back in town by 3pm the same day.

Tsukiji is like the South Street Seaport of Tokyo. It’s where all the fisherman come in with their daily catch. Little restaurants…more like stands, have set up serving fish that is still moving fresh on the table. Best fish you can get your hands in the world.
