Back in Okinawa.
沖縄に帰ってきました。
I love this kind of little trips. It's very short but very intense...

友達の結婚式@沖縄です。
明日結婚式なので、今日はゆっくりです。とりあえず夜まで時間があるので、宜野湾市にあるカフェユニゾンへ。
CAFE UNIZON
沖縄県中部にある家具屋と一緒になったカフェ。
1階は、インテリアセレクトショップ、MIX life-styleで、住んでいたときの家具類は、大体ここで買ってました。
外は雨。とりあえず何も考えず雑誌をめくる。
本当に島内の時間はゆっくり流れているように感じます。
沖縄の本がほしかったので桜坂劇場へ。
ふくら舎は、沖縄のミニシアター《桜坂劇場》内にある、セレクトショップで、新刊から古書まで取り揃えた本棚、雑貨。そして沖縄県内のアーティストの作品などがそろった店です。おもしろい本がたくさんあります。今回も数冊ゲットする。

At one of my favorite restaurant, Le Gumbo.
友達の店へ。相変わらずいい感じです。
This recent trend of dining is getting some first page press, I, of course, was initially skeptical of Pop Up concept because it instinctually challenges my philosophy of how to build a successful restaurant; cultivating a regular clientele (thru food, drink and service) for the longevity of that restaurant.
全てお任せで。
酒と料理と音楽を楽しめる穴場です。
相変わらずいい仕事してます。

パリの移民街の裏町食堂のような、ブルースフィーリングな店ですね。

I don’t think everyone can find my way back there though…it was really hidden.
くつろぎの隠れ家。見つけることはまず無理です。
While sipping some inspired highballs, Shoichi's live performances are a moving experience.
Not really a “rockin’ good time” type music. But more like a feeling of being a fly on the wall at one of his recording sessions. I’ve always been a big fan.
Really put all his soul into it. Playing some João Gilberto.
ボサノバの名手です。

ビルの最上階の小部屋。
好きな空間ですね。
Love the characters who live and work in Okinawa...
You see the place in a whole different perspective. I’ve done this with Osaka and Tokyo, and it’s the same positive feeling.
The best part is when old friends and acquaintances gather and reunite here.
隣町に遊びに行くようにさらっと行けそうな人の良さ。
文化の入り混じった不思議な町。
やっぱり落ち着きます。
