One of American greatest blues guitarists/singers Johnny Winter finally takes the stage in Japan for the first time!
二人の女の子に抱きかかえられるように出てきました。テンガロンハットと黒いマントで。６７歳。
Considering what he has been through in his life and his health he can certainly still play, but it is nothing like his old days.
Still it was entertaining, he is a living legend and won't be around forever so better see him while you can.
テキサス・ロックンロール、ブギー＆ブルース・ナンバーが微妙にリズムを変えながら次々と演奏。ハリのある声、シャウトしながら歌の隙間でためのない埋めつくされたフレーズ弾きまくりの雄叫びギターはまるであの７１年のライブ盤の如しです。予想通りスローなブルースは１曲だけ。あとは飛ばしまくり。
Some guitar players can get boring after a while no matter how great they are but Johnny was wailing the whole night. Just completely on fire! I'll never forget that night.
He is one of my biggest influences.
アンコールはあの重いファイヤーバードでスライドギターが唸ります。
最高。。というか見た、生で、唄って弾いてる。とにかく本物が目の前にいた3m位のとこに。。。
