Araha Beach is a popular beachfront walking course.

Hamaya Soba.
One of my favorite things about Okinawa is eating soba. Check out Hamaya Soba, a great little Soba house located in Sunabe.
One of the most popular and our favorite Okinawan dish is Okinawa soba . If you have been on Okinawa and not tried soba, what are you waiting for? There are plenty of soba restaurants around every corner here in Okinawa. The hard part is finding the restaurant that serves the best soba on island. I am not sure if I have found it yet, but I sure do love the challenge.

浜屋。
Right down the road from our house is a very popular soba house by the name of Hamaya Soba. Hamaya Soba is strategically located right by the Sunabe Seawall and always appears to have plenty of customers.

A big bowl of mouth watering soba only makes the moment that much sweeter.

One thing you should expect from a great soba house are reasonable prices. A large bowl of their Okinawa soba which contains soba noodles, pork ribs, roast, and fried eggs is only ¥650.

I went all out and opted for the Orion draft to accompany my large bowl of soba.

If you are down by the seawall enjoying the sun or doing some diving, check out Hamaya Soba for a really pleasant soba experience.

Kaichu-doro, the "Road Through the Sea”
Kaichu-doro, the "Road Through the Sea”, is a 4.7-kilometer long road connecting Yokatsu Peninsula on the Central Okinawa Main Island and Henza Island.

You will be refreshed by the tranquil scenery of untouched nature still remaining there.

King Tacos.
No taco rice, No life.
The birthplace of “King Tacos,” and is frequented by tourist to try the famous Taco, Rice, and Cheese. If you live or are traveling up east of Okinawa City, it worth a visit.

The King Taco looks like a small hole in the wall, but the best food always comes from places like this. This on has the normal out side ordering window and also a small dinning room with a counter and 3 tables.

I recommend eating it there, as you get a lot more and its piled high.

You want to talk about long distance relationships? TOKYO to OKINAWA is 990 miles! But ironically, some of the people I know in Okinawa are the closest friends I have. Even if there are meetings galore while I’m in town, not to mention endless shopping, I always make it a point to see some friendly faces.

東京と沖縄の間の距離は990マイル!でも、皮肉な事に、沖縄にいる友人は、僕の一番仲のいい友人達です。沖縄にいる時は、必ず、友人に会うようにしています。

Peace out!
